Christos Costarellos, a previously little known Greek Creative Director, shot to fame in June after being revealed as the designer behind the dress worn by Carrie Symonds for her secret wedding to PM Boris Johnson.

Known for his craftsmanship, attention to detail and flowing designs inspired by ancient Greece, Costarellos’s creations were lauded in his home country but remained under the radar elsewhere. Since the surprise nuptials made the front pages, along with pictures of the Grecian-style, flowing gown, the £2.9k dress, which Symonds opted to rent, has sold out on Net-A-Porter and other online retailers.
